I have another one! "Let Me Be Your Wings" from Thumbelina Yes! Yes, yes, and more yes! Though I prefer Barry Manilow/Debra Byrd version myself.

I don't really like Debra's voice. But then again I don't like the voice of the guy on the other version. Someone should do a brand new version of that song.

Well, there's another version with just Barry, and it sounds a BIT better. (And a few people have sang it themselves.)
And the song "Now and Forever" kinda reminds me of WALL-E and EVE's love. (Again, Barry Manilow (but you may find it more tolerable) and Sheena Easton.)

Okay I know, it's a bit of a stretch, but I was thinking of Hey Jude earlier and thought of you-know-who. That probably says more about me than the film though.

I Want To Hold Your Hand, On the Beautiful Blue Danube by Strauss, and Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity by Holst. I don't know, but Wall-E gives me a big ambience of the golden time from classical era.

"For the First Time" from the Broadway production of Tarzan, most definitely! (Seriously, listen to it and you'll know what I mean!)

That one's a perfect Wall-E/Eve song. It has that space romance feel, because that's what it's supposed to feel like. So it's perfect!

Does anyone here listen to Sun Ra at all? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_RaHis music -- especially his later work -- really sounds like what I would think robots would sound like if they were singing.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Br2b0GvvU1IThe opening few notes sound kind of like the beginning of "Define Dancing," and the opening lyrics remind me of when the computer gave the captain the definition of "Sea." The refrain pretty much speaks for itself. I loved this song long before I saw WALL-E, and now I just love it more! I draw wierd connections to WALL-E with pretty much every song I listen to nowadays.

This may be out there (or it may've already been said and I forgot, who knows )...but "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid, discounting the female-centric terms. "I've got gadgets and gizmos a plenty I've got whosits and whatsits galore You want thingamabobs? I got twenty. But who cares? No big deal...I want more!" "I wanna go, where the people are I wanna see, wanna see 'em dancing" Yeah, I dunno, I was just thinking back over Disney songs, and that's the first one that pops into my head relating to WALL-E (I always find myself relating The Little Mermaid to WALL-E, though, due to the "collecting human artifacts" bit.)

Oh, WOW. Yes, yes, yes. Can't believe I didn't think of that one. "Want to see them dancing!" What a perfect line to go with WALL-E.
"Whole New World"? Kinda works, I guess . . .
"Song as old as time . . ." (Beauty and the Beast) That kinda works too . . .
Wow, now I have a whole new perspective on the Disney standards. Gotta go to the library now, pick up some of those CDs and do some serious listening with a whole different attitude.
