Hehehehe, that was indeed awesome. I will watch it again and again and again Mr. Stanton, certainly.

I liked toy story 2 better then toy story 1.. maybe they could pull off a wall-e 2 way better then wall-e 1, i haev total confidence they could, theres so many things they could put into 2 i couldnt describe them all (flashbacks perhaps, wall-e becomes more human?)

I can understand Stanton's clear reluctance right now. This movie was really, really, really hard to do and I'm sure he doesn't even want to think about starting another one.
Never say never, but I'm sure there will be a lot of other sequels and new films before a WALL-E 2 even enters anyone's thinking. Right now Pixar (and Stanton) seem to have other plans for about 6-7 years, so I doubt we'd ever see anything feature-length before then.

Yes, me too . . . so I guess we'll have to indulge our WALL-E fascination by spending more time here on the forum.

I just hope if they do make a sequel that it won't be because they've run out of ideas or the masses demand it. Because that would be cheap IMHO. But I don't think Pixar is capable of making a film for the wrong reasons, so nothing to worry about there. I don't think Andrew Stanton would make a sequel unless his heart was completely into it like it was for the first one.

if they did a sequel, i reckon it would be most of what we saw in the credits, rebuilding earth slowly but surely, later on into the film when cities are built to how they are nowadys we get wall.e going to work in NYC wearing a hat and carrying a briefcase and continue to follow wall.e round his 'everyday' life

I was looking through the internet and came across this: This is a pretty sad sequel I would say lol WALL-E-2 centers on a love triangle between WALL-E, EVE, and her new love interest Auto-MATOR (Automatic Master at Tasks of Repetition), a high-tech robot designed for quickly completing repetitive tasks. Can beat-up WALL-E compete with the so-fresh-and-so-clean Auto-MATOR to win back EVE? GENRE: Romantic Comedy RELEASE: Summer Two Thousand and Never (It's a parody, so don't lose your binoculars over it) I found it here: images.google.com/url?q=http://flickr.com/photos/44124297297%40N01/2686709971&usg=AFQjCNGwYzgLYxJMCunjvhpXZ0QiV4vgEQ

Hehe, funny stuff. I'm glad that a real WALL-E 2 will be very unlikely to be a love triangle, though, I like to think of WALL-E and EVE living mostly happily ever after.

Me too. To me the movie's ending is THE end.

You know, if they do make a sequel, I'd like to see M-O and the rogue 'bots get more screen time. I mean, there's not much more they can really do with WALL-E and EVE (as I said before, they ended the first movie too well). I'd be interested to see how well the other robots can carry a movie.

Me too. To me the movie's ending is THE end. \ Exactly. The film wrapped up it's story too wonderfully and too conclusively, and I'm sure Stanton feels the exact same way. What they could do is produce a possible series of shorts following the antics of any particular robot. If you ask me, the possibilities for comedic shorts in the WALL-E universe are endless.

hmm i think its been said well already, the whole wall-e eve story was wrapped up pretty well already so a sequal would probably have to push that story onto the back burner and focus on other parts of the story or risk becoming mundane a prequel would also be a bit of a stretch, however i would like more details on operation Cleanup from it's conception to its failure and more on what bcame of the other starliners, did they get lost? did they perhaps run down over 700 years such as the other wall-e units on earth and the axiom, like wall-e is the only survivor of many? perhaps an explanation of why override directive a113 didnt include cessation of eve probe launches if they intended on disposing of the plant uppon detection anyways? edit: or perhaps (don't shoot) a re-telling of the same story from a different perspective say.. hal's or eve's or some other character
