I think if Wall-E snags an Oscar, Pixar will definitely greenlight a sequel. If they haven't already.

I'm Hoping A Sequel Never Gets Made.

Wow, I'm torn. I'd love more stories about the characters, but I'd rather have nothing than something horribly executed. What about a prequel? Personally I'd love to see how WALL-E developed his personality, what did he do when he realized for the first time he was all alone? That kind of stuff. myadversaria.wordpress.com/2008/07/21/filling-in-the-details/

Hmm...Well, no, not really, a sequel can go two paths:
1). It could boost it's popularity, and adding more good stuff to the franchise
or
2). It could fail, and flushing every idea that was WALL-E into the toilet.
I'm not up for a sequel, I'm fine for the one right now.

That's a fantastic idea. It would be very interesting to see how WALL-E developed his personality, and I really think Pixar could do that concept justice.

Yeah I Think A Prequel Would Be Perfect, But It Might Be A Little Boring If It Just Shows Him Claening Up The Planet, Unless They Included Before Everyone Left.

I guess a prequel could be a good idea, but I've been thinking on how he got Hello Dolly, that's something to think about, because he developed the idea of love from that broken tape, how did he find it? In a old BlockBluster?

In a old BlockBluster? Great question. I think it's ultimately something that would have to be answered in the prequel. An even more important question would be, how did he figure out how to use the VHS tape?

if they make a sequel i'd like to see new characters whats been happening later and wall-es past! That would be a long movie, doing what happens in the future and the past of what is shown in the film. But new characters - yes, that would be great! What other robots were on Earth before the humans all left to space?

We don't know that. Another, how did he hook it up to a iPod?

But that wasn't WALL-E's job, it was to collect trash, put it into cubes, repeat.
