I don't think we've had one just like it yet, so no big deal. I didn't outright cry, but there were several times I got "misty eyes". The first was EVE's arrival to Earth and opening "dance". The second was the "Define Dancing" scene. Then of course when WALL-E was injured and finally the ending when his memory returned.

I was crying... man-tears, of course. But yeah, I did get a bit weepy in the last five minutes of the movie.

For the ending scene . . . I'm pretty good with holding back the girly weepy tears if I'm pretty sure I know how things are going to end up, and I've seen so many Disney films with this "classic" ending where the character you've fallen head over heels for gets "killed". So I was pretty sure he wasn't "dead" and was able to keep a pretty good grip on myself. But if that scene had gone on much longer . . . not so sure . . . But tears of joy? That was the whole film practically. Like MD, especially "Define Dancing".

It's actually quite interesting that people want to see the movie after hearing other people cry through it. I couldn't help but laugh at the comments and comic itself ;D (is secretly cheering for the successful Wall-E pimping) Kudos to the artist

Hahaha...that's an awesome little comic! As for me...the first time I saw the movie, I got misty-eyed in several parts, and actually cried twice, I think...during Define Dancing and during the end. The second time, though...I think I looked more like the people in that comic. I just couldn't stop.

I may not know them all that well, but the guys in the comic always struck me as one of the toughest guys I know. But the movie affected a lot of people. How do the people at Pixar do it?!

I remember reading an interview with Lasseter once where he said that whenever he sees any movie in which he gets teary-eyed, he immediately starts analyzing the film to see "how they did it."
I'm sure that's a HUGE part of how all the guys at Pixar do it . . . they're film fanatics!

The first time I remember crying was when Eve snatched the plant from Wall-E and shut off and Wall-E was all upset. I'm not really sure why I cried at that part. I guess because Wall-E was just so happy to finally have a companion and she is suddenly "taken" from him and he's all alone again and doesn't know why. I just felt for him because I was just as confused as he was.
I cried again, of course, when Eve is watching her security camera and she sees for the first time Wall-E's true concern for her and she realizes she's in love with him too.
And of course, from the part at the end where Eve rushes out of the Axiom to Wall-E's truck to fix him, all the way to the end, I was BAWLING.
I didn't cry during the garbage airlock scene when Eve holds her hand out to Wall-E and says, "Directive" until I saw the movie a second time, because the first time I saw the movie I had no idea what "directive" meant until I watched an interview with Andrew Stanton. So I was originally confused during that scene. I think I thought "Directive?" was a yes or no question. Like there are two different kinds of robots: directive robots and non-directive robots. So Eve, when they first met, was asking whether Wall-E was a directive robot or not. And then he decided to dazzle Eve with his trash-compacting skilz...
I remember a lot of times getting misty-eyed. Like during Eve's "freedom flight", when Wall-E was traveling to the Axiom aboard Eve's ship, and of course during Define Dancing. And then throughout the entire credits. Who would have thought that movie credits could make you cry?

No crying, but lots of depression. I was saddest, amazingly, when EVE almost broke WALL-E's copy of Hello Dolly. He loves that tape. Am I a weirdo?

No, I was pretty worried about that too. When she started scanning the screen, I also worried a little she would turn her gun on it and blow it up. ;D

He lives for that film. It, and collecting trinkets, were holding his will to live. Then Eve came. But still, he would've been devastated without that tape.

Now that I think of it, I think I almost cried when Wall-E squished Hal. I thought he was dead, but then he came back to life! I was so happy!
