It looks like I will have only one more week to catch WALL•E in first run, as the cineplex I've been going to for my weekly WALL•E viewings in another town is cutting the movie down to just one daily showing effective this Friday. Fortunately, it's the 11 AM one I've been going to the last couple Sundays. But this weekend may be it for me seeing WALL•E in deluxe, first-run theatres. Still there is a small second run theatre in a McMenamin's restaurant (a great, Northwest-based chain of creative restaurants!) I have here in my town, and the tickets are just $3! Plus I can get a full burger or other meal to enjoy on an overstuffed sofa in the theatre. The screen isn't so good, but oh well. I think I'll be able to catch two more viewings there before WALL•E disappears out of theatres altogether in my region. . . . And then begins the long wait until November 4 when the DVD comes out! So I thought maybe we serious WALL•E afficionados here could share some ideas on how to get by until the DVD/Blu-Ray comes out November 4 in the US. I think I may just keep writing WALL•E fan fiction, or maybe get to work on something more serious and publishable in this genre! I did another chapter on my latest fan fic story last night over on FanFiction.net, in place of watching anything on DVD . . . and it turned out to be way more enjoyable just experiencing a story-movie in my own mind, and writing what I "saw"! I think it will take me a while though before I'm interested in seeing anything else in theatres though. This movie has just pretty much spoiled me for anything else right now . . . and maybe for a good while to come! I had originally intended to see STAR WARS - CLONE WARS in theatres, but I'm just not sure I'm all that interested in seeing what seems to be far cruder CG animation (come on LucasFilm, can't you do any better than that?? After all, you folks founded Pixar!) Nope, scratch that! A couple hours later here, I find that CLONE WARS has earned just an 18% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and some of the other reviews of its mediocrity are truly scary! I'd rather preserve the good memories I still have of that franchise!

We'll just have to take it one day at a time until the DVD is released... but hey, there's always the forums to discuss Wall-E unabashed!

I'm actually staying away from watching this movie until the DVD comes out (and even then, I'll only watch it sparingly). I get tired of movies easily, and as a result, many movies that I have thought of highly became boring to me. Usually I wouldn't care, but this movie is so special that I don't want to ruin it for myself.

I'm probably going to end up doing the same thing as you, trashbag. The last thing I want is to grow tired of this movie, so I don't think I'll be seeing it in theaters again (or downloading a bootleg copy to hold me over until the DVD comes out). By the time November rolls around, it will be like being reunited with an old friend.

Wow, Callandor, you've got me beat on WALL•E viewings! I can't see myself really ever getting tired of this film though. This is one of the few I've ever seen that just has incredibly enduring appeal for me — more in fact than any other movie I can think of, ever! I've been trying to wrack my brain to think of another Sci-Fi/Romance/Adventure/Comedy like WALL•E that I could also enjoy while I'm in the long "WALL•E Wait" here, but I just can't think of any! Even checking Amazon for "similar products" yields no satisfactory alternatives! If Johnny 5 had a girlfriend, I might be more interested in the SHORT CIRCUIT movies. But watching the human couple for me anyway, would be like if the WALL•E movie had focused on John and Mary, rather than on WALL•E and EVE! I might give one of those two movies a shot on DVD rental here come September when I'll really be due for another WALL•E viewing, but I don't know if I'll be satisfied! There just is NO OTHER MOVIE out there that has the appealing heart, romance, sophistication, and warmth of this film. This movie is seeming to be establishing a genre and atmosphere all its own . . . and that's frustrating!! I have this sneaking suspicion that I've seen a landmark movie here in WALL•E that will just have no equal for years to come! I'm just hoping this movie gets such a "bravo" of success and acclaim from the global marketplace that Pixar will want to do more of this type of sophisticated and unusual romance (something they've done incredibly well here, aside from the Sci-Fi, pantomime, and all the rest!) . . . let alone a sequel to WALL•E. The premise for Pixar's next film, "Up!", just doesn't excite me, but I might give it a chance next year. From what I've read about it, "Up!" seems a story more suited to a short than a feature film. I've also just read that Pixar is getting heavily into sequels now, with not only a Toy Story 3 already in production, but Monsters, Inc 2 under consideration, and even a Cars 2 being thought about. Like many of you have shared, I just really hope they keep quality story-telling as job #1. But if Cars can earn consideration for a sequel, could WALL•E really be overlooked for sequel possibilities? I think not. Yes, it's risky as some of you have said; but Pixar took a number of risks already in making WALL•E the way they did . . . and look how that turned out!

Cars 2 isnt being thought about.. its alrdy in the making And idk maybe toy story 3 will be like a wall-e? Except with toy romance >.> But i rly hope they make a wall-e 2, even if its not as good as the first one, i still want to see at least a wall-e 2 with a 7.5+/10 rating

There are a few options, namely downloading the good quality WALL-E bootleg and burning it to DVD (or even just watching it on your computer if you aren't tech savvy enough). There's also other movies related or similar to WALL-E, such as Hello Dolly (related) and Iron Giant (similar themes, and top quality 2D animation, which while not on par with Pixar's CGI, is still nice to look at).

I'm probably going to make a bunch of fan videos, play the video game, but I'm going to avoid watching the bootleg. I'm hoping to go see it in theaters again because it's still showing some places, but I doubt that's going to happen.
I'll probably become really busy with school and then I'll be obsessed with Ugly Betty again from September through October, and then when the Wall-E DVD comes out I'll be obsessed with Wall-E again and make more videos, blah blah blah. I'm hoping I don't have to wait until Christmas to get the DVD. My mother might just make me.

I really want to make music videos, but I want to wait for the DVD-quality footage first. I guess I'll have to wait until the DVD comes out.

Or.. You can test it by making music videos now. Then when the DVD comes out, it'll be an even better music video.
