Just doing some browsing, and ran across this at Pixar Planet: pixarplanet.com/blog/walle-box-office-09012008I think they just mean top grossing CGI, though, because I can't find any verification of this through Box Office Mojo. Still, being in the Top 10 Grossing CGI films is an accomplishment! Also, I discovered WALL-E has the #2 highest grossing G-rated opening of all time, surpassed only by Finding Nemo: boxofficemojo.com/alltime/weekends/mpaa.htm?page=G&p=.htmOh! And yep, I confirmed PP means Computer Animated films, where WALL-E is #9 of all time: boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=computeranimation.htmOh, and it seems here is the confirmation of it entering the Top 10, guess I hadn't looked around enough: boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=animation.htmNice! Also, WALL-E is the #1 highest grossing Animated Sci-Fi movie of all time: boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=scifianimation.htm

That one's my favorite. Just because it's #1 of all time. I knew WALL-E had to become "#1 of all time" at something.

And not only is it the highest grossing animated sci-fi of all time, but it is that by an almost 75 million lead.

Gyahaahaha!! Don Bluth? What's up with him? Never heard of him since Titan A.E. Wall-E sure surpasses that 'science fiction', though...

Except for writing a few books, he's disappeared off the face of the earth. Sorry, but I'm just relieved. Lol ;D But what's wrong with him?

Well . . . my personal opinion is that he's a victim of the misconception that a good animator will also make a good director. Just got in way over his head and had delusions of grandeur -- saw himself as the reincarnation of Walt Disney.

I don't remember ever being able to sit all the way through Titan A.E., heh. Anastasia was one of my ex's favorites and I enjoyed it, though.

Yeah, I could endure "Anastasia", "All Dogs Go to Heaven" and maybe even "An American Tail" . . . but everything else was just unbelievably . . . well . . . wrong.
Again, my opinion only. I'm sure there are some here that really liked his work and I don't want to be demeaning. You gotta at least respect the man for trying to keep alive the Disney tradition when Disney Animation itself as floundering in the 80s.
