Hi all, So this is a video I've been wanting to make for such a long time (actually, since I first saw WALL·E) but never have been able to get around to doing so until now. These are scenes of WALL·E and EVE to the song Lay Lady Lay, originally by Bob Dylan, but covered by Magnet in this video. As much as I love Bob and the original, his version was too "Clip Clop" for me. This was litterally the song that was playing in my head on that beautiful summer evening when I stepped out of the theater right after my first viewing of WALL·E, as I reminisced about the Define Dancing scene, and thought about what the heck just happened to me back there. (I later figured that it was actually my heart melting LOL ) For the ending, I was inspired by directive's work on his video with WALL·E and EVE to Reverie by The Morning Of, and decided to do a similar ending. I felt it was only fair to credit him on that. Another inspiration comes from a Disney Sleeping Beauty fan video that was also put to this song (that's where I first heard this version of the song). So without further moratorium...!: Sorry about the big messy white blank thing next to the video... I'm trying different things to try to get rid of it. You can thank YouTube for the poor quality... I had to dumb down the size to make it easier to load.

Wow! Great job! This song gives me stomach butterflies!
I love hearing stories of how people choose songs and find inspiration for their videos. I had a similar experience to yours with the Coralie Clement cover of "La Vie En Rose". When I watched the credits for Wall-E I saw that was the name of one of the songs used. I remembered downloading the Coralie Clement version of the song that very day, but I didn't listen to the whole thing, so I didn't know what it sounded like. So I went home and listened to it as I bought the Wall-E soundtrack on Itunes. Now every time I hear that song it reminds me of Wall-E. I tried to make a video with it, but it just wasn't working. I love that song just the same though.

I have such a great video collection now . . . I've burned all these to DVD and have them on continous play while I'm cleaning house or whatever. ;D
