Hey guys, the WALL-E Forum just keeps growing and growing, and to accomodate that, we'll be moving to a top level domain. Right now you can access and sign up for the boards here: www.walleforum.comI would suggest not doing any major posting, unless you have some stuff, such as art, vids, what-have-you that you want to make sure the new forum has once we start using it. Now, these original boards will always be accessible from the link you can see in "News" at the top of the board, however at some point in time they will be locked for posting. So, I would suggest everyone sign up for accounts and begin preparing for the move, but feel free to keep posting here until we can get everyone transferred. I'll try to send out a mass-email ASAP so everyone knows. Also, we also have a URL that also allows access to the forum, but the main is .com, which is: www.walleforum.net

Just to be sure I understand . . .
Will all the posts that are currently here be physically moved over to the new board? Or will we always access "old" content via a probards link and we'll start fresh with all brand new threads on the new site?

Unfortunately proboards considers all other forums "competition" so they refuse to release their code. They also have forced all "converter" programs to be taken off the web due to legal issues. This means that we will start over with posts, but will always be able to access this place to view old posts.

If you all are concerned about post count I can give you your post count back, I just can't transfer the posts themselves over.

No problem on the posts. I was just curious. We can always link back to a previous post in our response as long as we'll keep our proboards originals. I actually like this better because I have lots of linking to original posts in my blog and I wasn't looking forward to redoing all those links. Maybe we could keep our forum ranks and karma, but let the post count start over?

I believe I can edit karma too, but as far as that I'm not too keen on adding it. I've set up the ranks to automatically go on the new forum, so once I add post count to any with 500 and over, we'll have taken care of them being VIP.

I'll defer to what everyone else things on moving karma . . . it's not a big deal to me either way.
