I am a huge fan of Ratatouille. I thought Patton Oswalt did a super job doing the voice work of Remy.

I love this film. It alternates between WALL-E and Nemo for my favorite Pixar flick.
Even though I have zero knowledge of high cuisine, I can relate so much with the characters: Remy in his desire to stand out as an artist and frustration with his species' bottom-feeding sensibilities; Linguini in his clumsiness and social anxiety; even Anton Ego in his weariness of half-hearted efforts, and his eventual joy upon finally discovering something truly extraordinary. His monologue is one of the most powerful endings I've ever seen.
This was my favorite film of 2007, even after seeing No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood. 10/10.

This is actually at the bottom of my list (no offense to its many fans) for Pixar movies. Not a bad movie, I just didn't see the big deal. Some cute moments with a decent message but overall it didn't do it for me.

Understandable, MidgardDragon. It's one of those movies I do a lot of skipping through when I watch it, looking for my favorite scenes. It was really beautiful, though. That Paris light.
I really got the feeling that it was sort of "not done" and that if they had had another year to work on it, it would have been much better. There was a lot more dialogue and exposition than was necessary and some scenes just didn't feel very crisp and clear. The fact that this film had to be "saved" (by bringing Brad Bird in) shows.

I saw Ratatouille once in the theater and numerous times on DVD. It deserved the Oscar in my opinion. I haven't seen every Pixar movie, but Ratatouille is ranked high on my list.

I actually haven't seen Ratatouille. I think that was mainly due to the fact that I didn't like Cars.

Oh, Bubblegum . . . see "Ratatouille" if you can at all. It is really beautiful. It's absolutely a must-own, it's just not one I get all gushy over.

Every Pixar film is worth at least one viewing. You gave WALL-E a chance despite your disappointment in Cars; you should do the same with Rat.
