I could be wrong on this, but most of the robots in the Repair Ward are seen at some point in the movie as non-defective versions.
Here are the ones I know:
VAQ-M: Part of M-O's cleaning squad where the Probe Ship arrives.
PR-T: Seen trimming the Captain's hair when he first wakes up.
BRL-A: Some random passenger on the Axiom claps his hand and says "Shade!", and a BRL-A rushes to him.
HAN-S: Seen in the advertisements left on Earth.
The Tennis Robot (don't know what it is called): Some Humans can briefly be seen using it.
I'm sure I forgot some...Please post if you have information to add.

Yep, this is very true. The only one I'm not sure on seeing outside of the repair word is VN-GO.

I saw a VN-GO painting an area of the Axiom just after WALL-E bumps into that M-O unit while chasing after EVE. But yeah, that's a good point. They must have done that in order to give us a reference point for the "normal" functions of those robots.

One of the robots in the repair ward was a golfer bot. He kept yelling "FORE! ... FORE! ... FORE!" and knocking golf balls at the tennis bot across the room.
We see someone playing with a non-defective golfer bot (hee hee, they wear plaid!), as the Captain is giving his "I'm sure our ancestors would be happy to know that, seven hundred years later, we're doing the same thing they were doing" spiel over the intercom.

There's also a defective SPR-A bot in the repair ward. It's the robot with that strange looking apparatus used to spray down the returning EVE units.

Hmm...good points everybody.
The only one I'm in doubt about now is D-FIB. I don't think we see him outside the repair ward.
If someone could prove me wrong, I'd love it.

no i dont recall seeing a normal function d-fib, however being the nature of d-fib i think it woudnt have fit in with the storyline to have someone needing defibrilating, there was also a hair selon with the pr-t bots

When you think about it, it's kind of creepy to think of how people (and, in turn, the repair ward) were alerted to his "dysfunctional status". Since he keeps setting that dummy on fire, well...
How could you, D-FIB? Asimov's FIRST LAW of Robotics -- the FIRST ONE, mind you!!!! -- states that you can't injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm! That is one guilt-laden little automaton.

I was thinking about that earlier, not just with D-FIB, but the other robots as well. It actually is a little tiny bit disturbing to think of the defective robots operating around the Axiom. Picture the bot serving the tennis balls up on the Lido Deck. Or HAN-S giving a "massage" to someone up there.

Yeah -- hopefully, their "rogueness" shows up before they actual do something through scanning or some kind of alert system. Actually, considering how many robots are on the Axiom, the repair ward is pretty small. About 15-20 holding pens, I'd guess? That's not too bad a percentage of "failures", I'd say.

What still gets me is that it's robots fixing robots. Even if the ship itself is damaged, you have robots like BURN-E repairing the damage.

Yep, and robots driving space-ships, depositing probes, handing out food. One of the coolest (and perhaps most scary) things about the society created in WALL-E is *literally* everything was automated, humans had no control whatsoever.

At least we still have good ol' heartfelt robots like WALL-E though
