You could get her some jewelry or flowers . . . but why not get what she really wants . . . An iDance WALL-E and a WALL-E poster!!! I'm such a lucky girl to have a husband who'll buy her anniversary presents from Toys R Us!! Oh, and I got him 3 model antique cars. ;D Yeah, I got the better deal, for sure!

Haha, my how times have changed. That's wonderful though; I think I'd rather see a film like WALL-E with someone I care about than go to an upscale restaurant or something as well.

Congratulations — both for your anniversary, and recognizing the kid at heart within each other that both makes life more fun, and celebrates our true, inner human natures!
. . . But, didn't he forget the light bulb, Rubix Cube, and Oak Tree sapling in a boot? ;D
Anniversaries are indeed occasions that invite creativity, and creative approaches, for the open-hearted and romantically-inclined. Mere diamond rings get old after a while (but WALL•E knew that going in, by chucking that ring, didn't he!)
That's what I appreciate so much about the whole WALL•E love story — that love doesn't have to be complicated or extravagant. That sometimes, love can be most wonderful and profound when it is shared and celebrated in the simplest ways.
Happy Anniversary you two!

You have the best husband ever! I'm not going to marry anyone unless they do stuff like that for me rather than the typical flowers, candy, perfume, etc. Give me a little green plant in a boot and an empty ring case and I'll love you forever.

Me — like WALL•E, I'd be happy to . . .
. . . Have a hand to hold
. . . Someone who doesn't blast me (verbally or otherwise)
. . . Someone to build statues in honour of, with whatever materials are lying around
. . . Someone who'd rescue or rebuild me when I needed it (hey, after all, I'd be equally willing to be zapped by lightning to keep her dry, and endure sandstorms while keeping her sheltered under a (clean) garbage can!)
. . . Someone to share my treasures with . . . especially my light bulb, Rubix Cube (I actually do have one), and my hardy indoor African Violet (which is unfortunately not in a boot, but has managed to survive my less than expert care!)
and
. . . Someone who'd be happy just hovering by my side.
I'm still looking for that someone . . .
. . . But I'm glad you're celebrating with your own WALL•E, Vanessa!
. . . And thanks for your kind reply — you're most welcome.
