As Rodney Dangerfield might say, this character don't get no respect. This is the character responsible for the following lines: "A is for Axiom, your home sweet home. B is for BuyNLarge, your very best friend." "Remain calm. Remain calm." Yeah, this is perhaps the most invisible character on this forum, so I thought I would make history right here and now by mentioning NAN-E . As her name suggests, NAN-E is the babysitter in charge of "child development" aboard the Axiom, ha. It's difficult to tell from this picture, but "NAN-E" can be seen printed on the side of this bot at this moment in the film, and that's how I know this is a legit characer : So please, indulge me. I know you just can't wait to share your thoughts about this character.

"C is for 'Charge it!'" (Okay, that one was lame but I'm writing this at 3:30 in the morning with a flu fever . . . )
One thing . . . does anyone remember on the old BNL site the character that was basically a big baby basinette with arms? (Kind of creepy actually.) I thought that one was named NAN-E too. Maybe there are various models of NAN-Es.

I was going to come up with some sort of satire about NAN-E with some kind of Mary Poppins reference in this post, but I can't think of anything right now

I thought NAN-E was one of the conflicts of the movie. Kids were being raised into thinking that this life was normal. Brainwashing, basically.
Anyway, I think C would be for Captain...your loyal pilot!

my mom pointed this one out actually, just how detched the process of raising babies was, leaving it to the robots instead of the humans even nurturing the young

Yes, that's what I thought too, hopper. I mean if these people are too lazy to play real golf, they couldn't be interested in being parents which is a really hard job.

Those robots all had the fact that their model sounded like real human names in common with WALL•E.
