The other thing that bugs me is how people complain that the Axiom people are fat. I mean, yes, they eat a lot of junk food, but the reason they're confined to chairs is because their bones are weakening and disintigrated because of the microgravity.

I've never heard anyone say anything bad about it in my presence. In fact, of people who I do not know, I've only overheard things like "cute" and "definitely had its moments," whatever those mean.

My friend Trenton. He hates all Pixar movies (besides Toy Story and Monsters Inc.) What?!! I heard that some people hate Wall-E but there are people who hate all Pixar movies? Why?

Because their hearts are two sizes too small.

I'm startin' to think my boyfriend is a lost cause in terms of Wall-E... I asked him yesterday what specifically about Wall-E he disliked, and he replied, "The plot was lame, the characters were monologue-y (yeah, dunno what he meant there ) and the movie seemed kiddy." *sigh* Oh well...he's lucky I like him so much or I'd carry a grudge.

Did you ask him which movie it was he saw while you were watching WALL-E?

Some people disliked it because they have only seen it once. These are movies you Grow to like it, not at first sight; The problem is patience. Some people disliked it because, they are just, hopelessly, not that type of person. People varies so drastically in this world, and we shouldn't condemn them for being like what they are.
BUT, I think we Should condemn those who questioned the core value of Wall-E: Eternal Love.
And I wanted to use a chinese expression for those "Wall-E discriminates Fat people" guys: Go check your brain's waterproof. It leaks.
I actually saw someone who commeted that Wall-E was "not quite good as expected". He seemed to compare Wall-E with Kubrik. I thought this was forgivable, for some people do exaggerated the film, a way too much.

Absolutely true. It took me seeing it three times to really appreciate what I was seeing.
And, no, WALL-E is no Kubrick film. But it does have a lot of depth and many layers of meaning, so I think the reviews that compare it to films and plays like "2001" or "Waiting for Godot" are justified. Maybe their choice of "similar films or plays" isn't always completely accurate, but they're trying to make a point.

That's...one of the most bizarre things I've heard anyone say about the movie. I'm sorry, but was there a part during the beginning where WALL-E makes some kind of depressing introspection of his loneliness that I happened to miss both times I saw the movie?
