Imagine yourself being a movie producer. Would you choose Ben Burtt to play a robot in your movie? I probably would because he did such an amazing job as WALL-E and M-O.

If the robot was supposed to sound robotic, definitely.

Oh, absolutely! But really I'd hire him for any kind of film in which I needed creative and unique sound effects. He's done a lot of "non-robot" things as well . . . and all great. Now you got me thinking about being a movie producer . . . *sigh*

Hmm... would I hire the man who did the sounds for E.T., Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Wall-E?? That's a tough question... hehe

Yes. But I'd become a video game producer well before becoming a movie producer, so I don't think Ben Burtt has to worry about me kidnapping...er, HIRING him.

I dunno, there's all those Star Wars games, I imagine he has some experience you could "use".

Yeah . . . maybe . . . and while I'm at it . . . I might THINK about getting Stanton or Bird or even that guy Lasseter to direct this movie I'm thinking about producing . . . ;D ;D ;D

Now you got me thinking about being a movie producer . . . *sigh* Same here. But if it were a robot movie, I'd be a little afraid to ask him. He said after doing Star Wars he would never do robots again, but then he gave in when Andrew Stanton asked him to do Wall-E. And then when I was watching a behind the scenes documentary he looked kind of annoyed. So I'd feel too afraid to ask the great and powerful Ben Burtt to do something he's long since sick of doing.

Well, if he can do a female-robot voice, and somehow make it slowly sound more humanesque over time, heck yeah!

I wonder what percentage of the budget went into hiring Burtt. I'd guess at least 15%! The man is Goliath.

He must be bored with another robots and spaceship. But if you had a science fiction movie and able to make Ben Burtt go to your team, then you'll be safe. He'll do the best for you.
