I'm just interested in knowing what characters in other movies, literature, etc., remind you of Wall-E and Eve and all the other characters from this beloved film. Let's just start making a list.
I wasn't sure whether I should make a topic like this for each character, or just this one for all the characters. Let me know what you think.

I don't know why, but M-O kinda reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld (the character, not the actual person), and WALL-E is a bit like Kramer... Again, don't ask me why, or how I started making comparisons between Seinfeld and WALL-E, but there ya go.

Two obvious choices, to get them out of the way:
E.T. - His curiosity.
Johnny 5 - Robot with feeling.

Wow . . . I'm having a hard time with this one because every character I think of sort of demeans WALL-E . . . he really is one of a kind . . .

For now, Milo Thatch from Atlantis, but even then, it's a far stretch. Particularly though because a lot of the humanized art in Deviant Art portrays Wall-E looking a lot like Milo... Ofcourse, that would make Eve, Kida...

EVE reminds me a lot of Samus Aran from the Metroid video games.
They're both kickass, independent, heavily-armored ladies with blaster cannons who are sent by the government on a mission to a derelict planet. The difference is that EVE is a robot while Samus is a human.

Oh, EVE I can think of a million (okay, I mean a bunch) other characters like her . . . WALL-E's got me stumped at the moment though . . .

I've got a couple more. Appearance-wise, WALL-E also looks a bit like a robot version of Woody Allen. Personality-wise, a bit like the Tramp from City Lights (or any Charlie Chaplin movie).

actually, the comparison has been made a member of worth1000.com (DeeWhite) to will smith's character *note, i did not create the above poster i am only including a copy to illustrate the point that i agree with* will smith's character is driven, despite loneliness to find a cure for the virus that caused humanity's doom, wall-e , watched the same movies over and over, and eventually came across a woman, wall-e is a robot that also continues on a mission to save humanity after everyone else has given up thanks again to deewhite for creating such an ingenious poster

Yeah, I've heard the comparison before, and it somewhat holds water. I think the key difference may be WALL-E's optimize and lack of need to go to quite as many extremes in order to survive, but I can see where people are coming from when making said comparisons.

Of all the silent film stars, he probably reminds me most of Buster Keaton . . . not as much like Charlie Chaplin or Harold Lloyd though. Even the Buster Keaton-type character doesn't do WALL-E justice though. Keaton played beat-down characters a lot and WALL-E doesn't strike me as being "beaten down" in his spirit. I think the closest Keaton character I've seen is the one he plays in "The Cameraman" . . . especially his fascination with the love interest.

How about this one? I know it is a strange reference, having nothing in common besides the look. Casper just have an EVE look...
