ooooooo guys i just thought of something... Wall-e 2 idea maybe? That shelby guy could have a generation, for all we know he could have been cloneded or ice champer sleeping w/e (forget the name right now) Maybe if we see a wall-e 2 shelby himself or a clone or a son w/e comes back to earth and claims that he owns all the rights to earth and BnL And wants to resume command again. I dont think the captain, wall-e or eve would like that idea

A sequel to WALL-E would be awesome. Pixar doesn't do many sequels, though.

Wall-E is one of Pixar's few movies I DON'T want a sequel to. Part of the movie was figuring out the characters and what was happening. Besides, the ending was so dang happy...how would they build on that?
Anyway, in my opinion, Shelby Forthright is a bigger villian than AUTO. That's because AUTO was carrying out Shelby's orders. If Forthright didn't give up on Earth and take the easy way out, humans could have returned to Earth a lot easier.
But hey, it made a better movie!

Yes, I agree with this. I'm of the opinion that it wasn't an intentional evil plot, but rather just short-sightedness and laziness, personally. This, I think, allows the movie's main villian to be humanity itself (not obesity, consumerism, or any one part of humanity today, but humanity in general). We are our own worst enemy.
