Nada. I probably won't watch any TV again this week until Eureka comes on on Tuesday.

I haven't been watching too much TV. Have been catching on-line eps of Weeds and Torchwood.

Last night, I watched the first five episodes of the 2005 Doctor Who series on YouTube. I had absolutely no prior knowledge of the Doctor Who mythology. And I must say I'm VERY impressed with it so far. I really like the characters and the writing is sharp, and the story seems interesting enough. I'm looking forward to watching more of it later.

Wow. Are you about to enter a whole new universe, then.
Be sure to check out as many of the older Dr. Whos as you can if you really find you like the concepts and subject matter. Everyone has their favorite incarnation of the character and they're all very different and yet still all seem to flow together. It's probably some of the more intellectual sci fi out there -- especially in television. I was completely addicted to the version that was current when I was in high school (1980s).

Doctor Who fans! My people! Yes!
Doctor Who is probably my favorite Sci-Fi of all time, although I'm a fan of the new series, and not the older one. I can still respect what came first, I just enjoy Eccleston and Tennant's interpretation of the Doctor most of all.
I absolutely loved Seasons 1 and 2, was okay with 3 (it had the awesome "Blink" in it), and absolutely positive adored Season 4. Donna Noble and Rose Tyler are tied for my favorite companions, and Season 2 and Season 4 are probably tied for my favorite Seasons. I can't wait for the specials to come on next year, I have no clue where they're going with this.
Congrats on starting the journey through the Whoniverse, Viva la Vida. Can't wait for you to get caught up, as it is simply amazing.
