Barbara is in Hello Dolly, that's probably why she was mentioned. I haven't seen it myself so I can't say if she appears in any of the scenes seen in the movie, though.

The main character of "Hello, Dolly!" is Dolly Levi and Barbra Streisand plays that role. But you never see her character in any of the clips that we see in WALL-E. (Stanton did that on purpose -- since Steisand is so well known, he didn't want to distract the audience.) We only see the other couple who are secondary characters in the story -- they are Cornelius (Michael Crawford) and Irene (Marianne McAndrew). Some reviewers who never saw the original film might have gotten the characters mixed up.

Oh, so it's not Barbra S, then. I thought it was her because they're look similar to me. ;D My mistake.

I always wondered why we never saw Barbara Streisand in the movie. Even during "Sunday Clothes" when it shows everyone dancing together with their hats and parasols, Barbara is in that scene, but they zoomed in so you can't see her. Interesting. ut perfectly understandable why Stanton would do that.

You should. It's a really great movie despite what people say about it. And I'm not being biased either.

So something I noticed today when I was watching The DaVinci Code...There's this one part when Robert Langdon, the main character, and this other dude, Bezu Fache, go onto an elevator at the Louvre, and the sound the elevator makes is the same exact noise that EVE's ship makes when those little trap door thingies open and it lowers her down while she's in that thing. I don't know how to explain it better than that, sorry.
