That's so funny. Those commercials wouldn't irritate me like they do now if WALL-E and EVE were in them.
Everyone says WALL-E is a Mac because he makes the Mac startup sound, but he really is more like a PC.

Heh, I've always heard it as WALL-E is the PC and EVE is the Mac, despite the start up sound.

I don't think anyone showed this one already. It seems like WALL-E is thinking at this moment, "whoaa what's that?"

Yep, bkim, that's the one! I laugh myself silly every time I think of what WALL-E must have been feeling . . . the look on his face . . .

;D I love that moment. I don't think Wall-E was expecting such a... fervent greeting aboard the Axiom. All of these shots are so funny and weird!

These are great! Another one I like is when EVE wakes up and sees that statue of herself made of garbage. She has this great, "What the hell is this supposed to be?" look on her face. Ta-da!

I love that one of EVE when she first sees WALL-E's tribute to her. "Okay, I don't know art, but I know what I like. And that I don't like."
Poor WALL-E . . . oh, the pain of being a misunderstood artist!

Great thread! "Wall•E" is such a great movie that I find myself discovering something new on every viewing. I must have seen it at least twenty times at this point, but even so, I never noticed EVE screwing with Wall•E's head with the light bulb! That's classic! I have a couple of things that I want to share, too. First up is one of the best, EVE's moment of clarity. When she finally realizes that this dumb boy following her around isn't just trying to make her life difficult; he really, genuinely cares for her. You can just see the heartbreak in her eyes. "Wall•E..." ...and then we cut back to downstairs, where we see him practicing asking her to hold his hand. After a sweet, suggestive "Eeeeeeee- VAH?", he tilts his head down and taps his hands dejectedly against the floor while shaking his head. They're not only getting across a ton of character development without using any dialogue... they're not even in the same ROOM! Next up, one of the most unintentionally hilarious moments in the film. This scene is so pitiful, it's hard not to giggle. "Is this crap all that my life is...?" This one actually confuses me, maybe someone can clear it up for me. Just after EVE has discovered that Wall•E has followed her on-board, she shoves him under the counter in the Captain's quarters and starts frantically bleep-blooping at him. As she's "talking", he's going off into his own little romantic world, sighing "Eeevaaahhh..." as his vision gets blurry and her voice kind of becomes muddled. Anyone know what this is supposed to indicate? Is this just supposed to be "lovesick-vision" or something? Regardless, Wall•E's uncomprehending expression after she's finished blabbering strikes me as very cute. I had to turn up the brightness and contrast for this one, but it's still a little hard to make out. Sorry! The Blu-Ray will look better! Here's some Captain McCrea goodness. I don't know why this didn't get more laughs in the theaters when I went to go see it (*cough*eight times*cough*), but I love McCrea's threatening expression after he tells AUTO, "that's an order!" And as AUTO shows him the footage of Shelby Forthright telling everyone in the galaxy to throw in the towel and stay in outer space forever, he has this slowly dawning look of disgust and confusion that's just awesome. A single picture doesn't do it much justice, I'm afraid. The greatness of it is in how natural it looks as he continues listening. Whoever animated that scene is a genius. And finally, a delicious little sight gag in an otherwise tense moment in the film. PR-T is busy decorating a very, very disoriented woman's belly just after the Captain has straightened out the ship again. Remember how I said that I see something new every time I watch this? Well, I didn't even notice HAN-S lightly massaging another passenger on the opposite side of the screen until I took this screencap. And he's not doing too badly, either! Sorry that was so long. I just really like the movie. ;D

He's seeing her through a "love haze". All he sees is her and all he wants is her. Been there, done that. I never noticed either of these until you pointed them out! Great post!

Great observations! Hey, it's great posts like this that make this thread so popular! Yes, the "love-sick" view that we get from WALL-E's perspective as EVE is lecturing him. That was my understanding of what was going on. EVE has been asking him "How in the world . . .? Where did you . . . ? What are you doing . . . ?" She finally says, when her eyes narrow at him: "Are you even listening to me?" Then we cut to the expression you posted which is WALL-E kind of coming around and saying, "Oh, sorry, were you talking to me? I wasn't listening. I was just so busy staring at you."

That's an awesome post! I especially love your description of EVE's moment of clarity. It's so bittersweet. It gives me chills to read that and listen to All that Loves About on the soundtrack (it was the song that was playing during that scene). I also never noticed PR-T and HAN-S in that last screen. Great catch! HAHA! "Oh sorry, you're just so cute when you're mad"
