This is the best Sci-Fi show on television as far as I'm concerned. I love it to death, and last season with David Tennant and Catherine Tate was just amazing, I can't wait for the specials!

I've watched the first season with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper, and the Christmas Invasion special with David Tenant. I'm very impressed so far.

That's excellent, because it gets much much better in Season 2 and 4, and Season 3, while it has its rough patches, contains perhaps one of the best episodes of the series (Blink). Hope ya get to keep watching.

You can reprimand me if I'm wrong, but it sounds a bit like that show Quantum Leap.

Yep, dead wrong. The Doctor can choose where and when he travels through time. His ship can also travel through space. He's part of an alien race called "Time Lords" and is the last of his kind. He always travels with a companion (not a holograph) and the companion isn't always the same each season. He generally isn't trying to "set right what once went wrong" but rather battling aliens that always seem to have a strange fascination with taking over Earth. And so on and so forth. Honestly, it's about as far from Quantum Leap as a time travel story can possibly get.

Yeah, I never liked Martha much as a companion, so Season 3 was very hit and miss for me.

Yeah, I never liked Martha much as a companion, so Season 3 was very hit and miss for me. I liked Martha more than Donna, because, I have to admit, Donna is kinda whiny..

*shakes head and walks away*
Donna is tied for best companion for me. Martha was just...wow, bad at life.

She was a great and intelligent companion, not the best, but a real good one, IMO. Though, the Doctor Donna was really hilarious, I hope in Series 5 that Sarah Jane Smith comes back with her son.

She just failed at being...interesting, or useful. She only *really* rose above and became something worth while in the last episode, and by then it was time for her to go...and when she came back in Season 4 she was easily overshadowed by all the other great companions both new (Donna) and old (returning such as SJS and Rose). Donna, on the other hand, became The Doctor's equal well before the cataclysmic events that lead to the end of the season. The Doctor even commented on it several times. She was loud and knew what she wanted, whereas Martha was just kinda...there, most of the time. Give me the feisty redhead over the boring chick any day.

Hah, but I really loved it when the duplicate doctor started fighting with her verbally, I couldn't contain my laughter when they did that, I guess things that probably wouldn't happen go out hilariously when something like that happens. I did like Rose a bit, she has her moments (That's not fair, I was here first!) But I did have the feeling she was going to come back, it was hinted, and hey! it happened I found my favorite Companion to be SJS, she was quite awesome, especially when she got her own show, I'm like "AWESOME!" David Tennant is pretty much my favorite Doctor, I'd love it for him to be the longest running Doctor.
