I was a big RL Stine fan back in the early days of Goosebumps, haven't read any new stuff, though.

I could swear Mr. Stine hasn't written a book in like a million years. His Goosebump books are very addictive, but pretty much the same theme with them all.

R.L. Stine... such a great author. I love Goosebumps, but I also love his other stuff as well. My favorite of his is probably "Beach House".

Man, I want to read The Spiderwick Chronicles so bad, but I can't find any anthologies and the separate tiny books are like, 10 bucks a piece.

I read the Spiderwick Chronicles when they first came out, and were virtually unknown. I enjoyed them a lot, and was amazed to see it get as popular as it got.

I know I know LD, you're totally right as far as that goes, I just like to "own" stuff too much. I do have a public library, and even a library card, though.

And I know what you're talking about owning stuff. I'm surrounded by books and DVDs all day, but I still head to Barnes and Noble for more.

Barnes and Noble . . . *sigh* . . . I miss them . . . I'm stuck with Canadian chains and amazon.ca where I am . . . Fav authors . . . Markus Zusak, Lemony Snicket (not Daniel Handler as in his adult stuff), Roald Dahl, Lynne Truss, Marjane Satrapi, Jeff Smith (Bone series), Tove Jansson, Astrid Lindgren, A. A. Milne . . . better stop or this post will get out of control.
