As of yesterday (August 13), WALL•E finally surpassed KUNG FU PANDA in total US gross box office revenues, according to Box Office Mojo.com! WALL•E had already reached the $210 million mark in a third less time than PANDA did. Plus WALL•E is still among the Top 10 daily grossing movies in America right now, having just slipped to #9 — not bad at all, considering it's been out for 7 weeks now! As of August 13, WALL•E stood at $211,834,786 in 48 days of release, versus $211,577,666 for KUNG FU PANDA in 69 days of release. Meanwhile the other competing CG animation feature, SPACE CHIMPS, was already way behind at $26,526,967 in 27 days of release. For details, see www.boxofficemojo.com/daily/chartThis is hopefully just another of many milestone vindications for our favorite picture yet to come! Time for a little WALL•E celebration here!

Awesome news, I knew it was happening soon, but still great to have a record of when. Now I'm interested in seeing if it can overtake both Kung Fu Panda and Ratatouille in worldwide/foreign grosses.

Woot!
I'm interested to see how its final worldwide gross will turn out. How come in countries like Japan and Australia, it's taking so long for it to be released? I've always been confused about that.

Niiiiice. Glad to see our beloved movie keep going up. And I'm really impressed it's still at #9 in daily gross.

Well duh. That was because WALL-E was a good movie. Kung-Fu Panda was a stupid movie.

*shakes head* Part of the reason I hate IMDb so much is because no matter what board you're on someone is insulting something, so let's not do that here. I enjoyed KFP for what it was, WALL-E was simply better.

Sorry MidgardDragon but Kung-Fu Panda is such an idiotic movie. It's not like i'm insulting WALL-E.

Please use constructive criticism on these forums. An "idiotic movie" is not constructive criticism.
Thanks,
